Emotional Issues That Need to Be Addressed
One unique thing about being human are the emotions we get to experience. Emotions are a very strong part that makes us human. Emotions such as love, joy, pain, anger, etc. are very strong feelings we experience. But often times it is because we are so emotional we can get into trouble.
I would like to talk about two very powerful emotions that in a few situations, require professional attention.They are depression and anger.Two emotions that seem very different from one another can both start some very major problems. I have seen it first hand as a family counselor in San Diego.
It is a fact that both issues are big problems because both can be causes of violence.In situations such as anger, it sometimes leads to violence against other people.In situations of depression, the results can be use of violence against themselves.
When you are talking about anger it is a very volatile emotion.As I said earlier, it is an emotion that has to be taken control of. Because as we well know a lot of people do bad things when they are angry. It doesn’t have to be physical, it can also be emotional. If that is the case you need to address it through anger management counseling.
Now in regards to depression, this is a dangerous problem as well. It is dangerous because often times you may never now about it.In others words you could possibly not even know when someone you love is going through depression.When something like that happens, horrible things can come about that weren’t expected. Things like suicide. I have seen it happen to often doing depression counseling.
If you sense you are in a state of depression, treat it immediately.Because before you can even think about it, the situation could have gone too far.Loved ones of yours could even possibly miss it and not be aware of it. When that happens it can be too late.So find help quickly. It can be helped.
As you will notice, emotions are in general good things.But they are known to also cause problems.By learning how to address and tackle the problems emotions can be very beneficial.It matters not how you take care of it, either you or somebody else addresses it, but be sure to take care of it.
